FOOD SECURITY

Food security is one of the principal objectives of national agriculture and economic policy. In general, it shapes the movement vector of any national food system towards perfect condition.
 
At this approach, the Russian country side, which constitutes nearly 98% of national territory, is not only a basis for food security and state sovereignty but also a source of labor forces and a vital factor to determine the population employment pattern over large time periods.
 
Here, both with the State and the public and business, there is a clear understanding of the fact that our country is capable enough to provide for itself with major food products, while the food security and substitution of imports in the area of agro-industrial complex are one of the most critical national objectives.
